Pours a pale straw yellow with a light haze and a big foamy head that pops away in giant bubbles, leaving a decent lacing. Head looks soapy
Nose is bright guava and melon. Thinnish, without a lot of depth or complexity but certainly a pleasant fruitiness.
Taste follows the nose with a sharp lemon peel hit on the front end. the melon and guava dominate across the middle before capping off with a slightly off flavored orange note. Not terrible but not very coherent and imbalanced.
Mouthfeel is decent but a little thinner than expected given the 'northeast-style' descriptor on the can.
Overall an inoffensive but unimpressive example of the popular style of the day. Pleasant enough and an easy drinker, never heard of idaho gem but I can certainly see some potential

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
