Juicy, Snappy and hoppy through and through, Mile Wide celebrates Citra hops in a big way.
Castle Rock pours a rather murky soiled sepia appearance with a creamy tarnish froth. As a bold floral scent radiates from the rim, perfumy citrus, herb and botanical fragrances lead the way. Juicy sweetness is cereal filled, creamy and smooth, carrying also flavors of honey, grain and pastry.
The session largely circulates around the Citra hops and its expected taste of orange, grapefruit and lemon. Bursting with valencia orange, background flavors of red grapefruit, mango and apricot keeps the session ripe, radiant and juicy. Trending dry, the late palate shows a snappy hop bite with verbena, green tea and hemp to sharpen the finish and ensure a refreshing closure.
Medium bodied, semi-dry and slightly more bitter than sweet, the session follows an IPA path with a smooth and juicy upstart but a pleasantly bitter, piney and herbal finish for a taste that brings bitter beer and hazy ale fans together.
