Tall can into a glass. Right to the bottom line - it’s a very simple light lager that’s meant to wash down sausages. For what it brings, it’s fine.,,,

Pivovar Velké Popovice a.s. "Kozel Premium Lager"
500 ml brown glass bottle coded "mindestens haltbar bis: 26.03.23 L2 09023:59". Sampled on 23.11.22
Look: Clear golden body beneath a finger's width of white foam. Very good head retention and lacing.
Smell: Distinctly malty with grain prominent amidst grassy, herbal, and floral hops.
Taste: The flavor follows the aroma with a balancing median level bitterness that leads to a dry finish.
Feel: Medium bodied and crisp.
Overall: A well made and well balanced Czech lager that's worth trying.

Clear gold with two fingers of creamy, cream-colored head. Great retention and thick lacing. Grainy aroma with the slightest kiss of sweetness in the aroma. Grainy, lightly bitter taste with slight diacetyl. Medium bodied, smooth with prickly carbonation. Very tasty when expertly poured at a tank pub in Prague.

Quite malty and corn flavored brew. On the sweet side. Crisp, you would not call it. I think of a Blonde Ale. There is a faint suggestion of something hoppy, and perhaps a bit of bitterness in the aftertaste. Flavor is grainy and indistinct. It's certainly chuggable enough. No doubt that on tap in some cobblestoned side street it would taste pretty good. From the 500 ml can purchased on the West Coast, which seems to be the export packaging. Apparently brewed in Chezchia according to the label.
