An Oak Aged Blueberry Sour Ale. Brewed in February of 2017, this started out as a Golden Sour Ale which had been aging in a Syrah wine barrel before refermenting on top of a ridiculous amount of blueberries. This beer pours a very deep purple with a fluffy pink head. The nose is intense blueberry, wine, oak and currants. The flavour is reminiscent of grape juice but without the sweetness. Lots of oak tannins, balanced sourness and a bit of funk to round out the profile. Exceptionally dry and vinous.

Pours a deep reddish/purple with very limited head that almost completely disappears before the pour has ceased. Lots of what appears to be fruit particles join the rush into the glass.
Red wine jumps out on the nose. Hiding in the background is a little oak, blueberry
Very tart up front. The blueberry comes through along with some wine barrel and a good deal of wood that leads to a very dry ending. The tartness is quite overpowering.
Moderate body.
The extreme tartness is. It usually to my liking, but there is a enough blueberry here that I enjoy the beer. I’d like it more were
It a little more gentle, but still, another winner from Half Hours on Earth.
