Pouring from the 22 oz., a nice steady pour in a typical pint glass produces a nice head of about a half-inch. The beer is very dark and will compete with a bottled stout in pour and appearances. While this is a smoke porter, the smoke is not overwhelming, as in a rauch bier, in either smell or taste. The aroma has some hint of peppers, as it is brewed with habanero and serrano peppers. The first sip is striking in that of a milk stout, thick and creamy. The taste is milky with notes primarily of sweet vanilla. The peppers finish at the end and on the back of the throat. I would drink this beer occasionally, and has a place in my assortments of tastes in the cooler months or for a dessert beer. If you like dark beers, this one is a must
