This latest iteration of our ongoing kettle sour series was brewed with Belgian yeast and our house Lactobacillus blend. We added 400lbs of Fresh Maine Blueberries during fermentation to create a proper fruited sour. The beer is purple in color and has a beautiful aroma of blueberry and a tart finish. Well carbonated for your enjoyment.

Picked up a can of this at the brewery a few weeks back.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice slightly hazy ruby, well, blueberry juice hue with a thin pinkish head that fades to leave just a few thin wisps.
S - Aromas of almost bleu cheese, lacto funk, cheesy yogurt funk as well, little bit of blueberry sweetness and tartness but not aggressively so. more cheesy funk than fruit. Light medicinal notes as well.
T - Taste is similar to the nose, aggressive cheesy funk. Incredibly aggressive. Funky cheese, greek yogurt, and sour cream blended in to one with a few drops of blueberry juice. Funky blueberry cream cheese as well. Slightly medicinal too.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, body is on the flemmy side.
O - Overall I didn't like this one bit. The funk was super aggressive and cheesy to the point that the fruit was pretty much hidden by it. Really, really unpleasant.
