A fun take on IPA with Fresh Tart Cherry Juice, lots of Fresno and Cherry Bomb chilies, a touch of vanilla, and lactose. Smooth and fruity with a touch of chili pepper spice on the end.

16 oz can into tulip. Dated 9/13/18.
Very nice hazy golden orange look. Nose is tropical with a little vanilla and slight tart cherry. Taste is pepper followed by citrus/vanilla and little cherry at end. Feel is medium and creamy. Overall, interesting beer. A lot going on. Fun to drink and I liked it for a nice change.

Picked up a can of this at the brewery last week.

A - Poured in to my Duvel tulip a nice hazy slightly ruddy gold with a two finger head that fades to leave light lacing and a creamy blanket.

S - Aromas of a little bit of citrus peel, oranges, tangerine, flash of light vanilla. Absolutely no cherry juice. Maybe some barely, barely there chili note but not really.

T - Taste is almost the opposite of the nose. Chili pepper taste right up front, especially as it warms, no real heat or anything just pepper taste. No vanilla, little bit of lactose. The peppers actually overpower most of the beer elements here. There is some citrusy hops, orange mostly, that come through after the initial chili hit before fading back to pepper on the finish. No cherry whatsoever.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, fluffy, creamy.

O - Overall I am really, really not a fan of this beer. I thoroughly enjoy a chili beer, however, this tries doing too much and not really delivering on any. The hops are overpowered, the chili too prominent, the vanilla barely noticeable, but the strangest is the utter lack of cherries aside from a faint tinge they add to the colour. If the cherry came out on the nose or taste then the marks would be higher, but, as it is the beer falls short of delivering what the label lists.
