This test-batch IPA is brewed with Chinook and Cryo Ekuanot hops and aromatic malts. Soft mouthfeel and a citrus hop character is finished with a light bitterness for a super drinkable IPA.

Thanks to JLindros for hooking me up with a can.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice super hazy golden orange hue with a thick two finger white head that faded to leave very light lacing and a thin sudsy head. Thicker halo but not much retention.
S - Aromas of some lighter malts and dank earthy hops. Swirls bring out some spicy mustiness and a little bit of pine. Some earthy grassy notes as well and flashes of citrus. Not much tropical whatsoever.
T - Taste is similar to the nose. Tons of spicy earthy hops and spicy bitterness. Barely a flash of citrus peel before this becomes almost vegative level of earthy hops. There's also something really weird, almost like burnt hops going on in here somehow with a really, really big almost plastic like bitterness. Super strange.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, little creamy, very astringent.
O - Overall this was a bit confusing. The hops aren't bad but just incredibly aggressive and unbalanced. It's one thing to have big, bold, aggressive hops but this is not that. Just really unpleasant.

First Exhibit A beer I’ve actively disliked, a funky bitterness, no juice or softness

Draft at the brewery
Moderate foamy dense head with medium retention and good soapy lacing, very hazy cloudy opaque medium orange color
Nose solid citrus, fresh squeezed orange juice, little mango and tropical fruits, light creamy protein hazed malt base, pithy
Taste big citrus, grapefruit and pith, then turning to spicy hop, citrus rind and big spicy bitterness medium hop bitterness, earthy turning grassy like over dry hopped, soft creamy juicy malt and oat/wheat proteins, hops really overpower, dry finish with lingering spicy hops and big bitterness
Mouth is med bodied with moderate carb, little soft juicy, a bit astringent from over dry hopping I think
Overall not too bad, not my favorite, gets a bit too aggressive in hops, not quite balanced, I could see people liking this beer, but not quite my cup of tea
