Thanks to JLindros for hooking me up with a can.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice hazy golden orange hue with a thick two finger white head that faded to leave light lacing and a billowy blanket.
S - Aromas of pineapple and tangerine, however, it is absolutely obliterated by the dank, oniony, vegative mosaic hops. Earthy and almost tea like that mosaic completely throws a wrench in the tropical aroma of this beer.
T - Taste is similar to the nose. Tons of pineapple and tangerine flavour that are great before, yet again, the mosaic comes in and just throws it all away. After that initial tropical fruit onslaught there is wave after wave of earthy, oniony, vegative dankness that completely upsets the balance of tropical fruit. The finish is alright as the vegative notes fade into a generic pine bitterness as well as flashes of citrus peel.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, creamy, decent body.
O - Overall this beer has loads of potential...until mosaic was added. I loved the idea of using that Kveik yeast and the tropical notes here are quite pleasant, however, that earthy onion thing going on just ruins this for me. A shame.

Has an unusual piney note with the NEIPA juice flavors, interesting but may not be for everyone. Maybe some hop burn if you’re sensitive to that.

Draft at the brewery, on paper looks really cool especially the yeast
Big creamy dense head with good retention and great thick lacing, cloudy hazy opaque apricot colour
Nose is quite unfortunate, oniony dank mosaic right out front, garlic and onions, earthy, finally behind that is plenty of tropical fruits and light gristy malt, butt hard to get through the mosaic
Taste up front mosaic again, dank onion pine garlic and a weird gym sock maybe funk from the yeast, under that brings citrus and generic tropical fruits, doughy sweet malt and oat/wheat like soft proteins, big citrus and some grapefruit late, very dry finish that even gets astringent,
Mouth is med bod juicy creamy, good medium higher carb, but astringent finish
Overall this was surprisingly not that good, on paper looked really cool but the mosaic destroyed it, and then the astringent finish hurt it some more, oh well. At least it's a demo tape.
