From a 16 oz. can dated 08/01/21. Sampled Jan 8, 2022.
Attractive looking medium to dark amber tone underneath a lasting ten head that becomes a ring.
Those caramel malts express themselves above and beyond anything else in the aroma. It has an air of sweetness. Crackery maybe. Peat moss.
Low-medium body.
The sweet roasted malts are in abundance in the flavor. Any other character such as floral hops and moss are faded. Clean, sweet finish. If you like malts, you should enjoy it.

An average pour from a 16-oz. can produced a finger of light tan foam with average retention and arches of lacing. Clear reddish amber in color, shows orange-amber in front of light.
Big smell of bready malt (dark bread and toast) greets the nose with a hint of yeasty dough. Mild floral hops.
Semi-sweet with mild bitterness, bready malt (again) is up front with some added caramel and roasted character.
The hops flavor is moderate with added citrus and spice. Bitterness rises as faint smoke with a slight acrid taste appears.
Apple cider, cracker and toasted wheat are blended in. The finish is fast and almost crisp as it dries while bitterness rises to above average. The aftertaste is hop spicy and a little smoky.
Medium light bodied with reserved carbonation, smooth and session-able with hidden alcohol. Balanced to a fault and matches style guidelines to a tee. PKG 10/6/20

Back to the discount rack! $1.50 for an Exhibit 'A' beer (my first from them) sounded really good as I usually see them in the $4-6 per can range. Truthfully, I've had this one for a few months and forgot about it, so if it's beyond freshness that is completely on me
Pours a cloudy deep amber with a finger of off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves plenty of lacing. Tons of streaming carbonation from the bottom of my glass
Very bready in the nose here, with notes of sweet honey, caramel, wheat bread, lager yeast, and clove. There's a mild roast which works well with the sweeter elements of the aroma
The taste starts off surprisingly bitter for the style before the sweetness comes to rescue. Grassy hops prickle the taste buds and give an orangey citrus impression. On the swallow, things warm up with dark breads, toffee, raisin, and a hint of chalky dark chocolate. Doughy malts carry out into the aftertaste with a touch of nuttiness
Medium full bodied with moderate carbonation, this drinks quite easy but still feels filling. It coats the mouth in the finish, leaving a stickiness behind
Really solid example of an underrepresented style. I definitely need to try more from these guys

Can to lager glass.
The appearance was a nice looking ruddy dark amber to malty brown color with a subtle transparency about it. A rocky foamy head white in color took it's time to dissipate. Once it did, some messy lace ran around the glass.
The aroma had a wonderful blend of some grassy hops, red delicious apples, toffee/biscuity malts, nice beechwood smokey levels and a small whiff of brown bready to earthy character.
The flavor leaned moderately to the sweet side with some of the apple/beechwood tones starting to take the lead as it warms. Grassy to earthy hops play underneath. Then a semi-sticky aftertaste of toffee, dry grassy hops and clean earthiness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied, perhaps a touch under. Mild sessionability about it, some dryness but smooth along my tongue, some grip. Finishes semi-crisp with plenty of smooth malts.
Overall, a very nicely done Munich Dunkel lager with what I perceived was some beechwood malts helping to make this unique and wanting more of this.

Thanks to JLindros for hooking me up with a can of this. Canned on 12/12/19.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice crustal clear chestnut hue with a nice one finger white head that faded slowly to leave thin wisps and a light halo.
S - Aromas of light toffee and bready malts. Flashes of sweetness, biscuits, and brown bread. Flash of earthy hops on the back end.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with more of that brown bread, dough, biscuits, and almost raisin bread with a drizzle of toffee syrup. Lingering flavour of toasty bread on the finish as well, sweet almost like cinnamon raisin. Little bit of those earthy hops as well with just some faint lingering bitterness.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, crisp, clean, light bodied.
O - Overall this was certainly a solid Munich Dunkel Lager. It really just goes to show that Exhibit A can deliver on true-to-style brews time and time again.

Pours a giant foamy frothy off-white head 2+ fingers with medium retention, slower fade and gets a little rocky, soapy lacing, mostly clear auburn slight iced-tea brown color
Nose nice soft lager notes, with some bread crust, toasted grain, sweet biscuity toffee malt with a touch of caramel, sweet honey brown cake like notes, hint of chocolate, a little dark fruit
Taste brings more of the malts out front, biscuity toffee with toasted grain, and some bread crust, a hint of chocolate, as well as touch of dark fruits, a bit more of the brown honey cake as well with fair sweetness in the malt profile but not sugary, smooth lager with that so not too sweet or sticky, low to medium earthy herbal hops kick in with med-low bitterness, finishes crisp but a touch sticky, hops get a little spicy and medium bitterness lingering
Mouth is med to a little lighter bod, soft lager, medium slight prickly carb
Overall solid beer, and well done Dunkel. I'm really glad to have this as they redeemed themselves from the last couple of beers I've had from Exhibit A that were misses. This one brought me back to what a good beer is and representation of the style, not a weird experiment.
