Thanks to JLindros for hooking me up with a can of this beer. Canned on 12/11/19.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice slightly hazy ruby reddish hue with a thick two finger pinkish white head that faded to leave light side lacing and a thick, creamy blanket.
S - Aromas of vegative, bordering on oniony Mosaic hops, flashes of lacto and faint berries. Smells like a berry yogurt that someone spread some faintly garlicy sauteed onions on top.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with a flash of sweet red berries up front, almost cloy, before transitioning to creamy lacto funk and yogurt. The start is decent...until the Mosaic shows up. Assertive, aggressive Mosaic. Dank onions and vegative garlic comes elbowing in and utterly trashes the fruit profile going on here. Finish is just barely bitter.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, crisp, clean finish, alcohol hidden well.
O - Overall this beer was an utter mess. I'm a bit confused by this one as I don't really understand the point of it all. The sum was certainly not equal to the whole of its parts which really bugs me. The man can brew on point, utterly delicious true to style beers on one hand yet on the other something like this was deemed a good idea. Wow. What a shame. Glad I got the hook up and didn't buy one of these.

This does not look like an IPA. Held up to light it looks almost like an amber bordering on brown ale due to the blackberries. Minimal head that has had some staying-power several sips in, on par for what i like in an IPA. Soapy lacing that slides back down into the beer.
Smell has a dominant berry/lactose scent followed by hints of malt, grapefruit, vanilla, and faint onion. Not bad but not what I generally expect for a double dry-hopped DIPA.
Taste is pretty much along the lines of the dominant smells I get with the berry and lactose. But again, not what I expect from a DIPA as far as hop character goes. Less of the onion in the taste, which I'm a little bummed by because that is something that I enjoy. Hints of vanilla.
The mouthfeel is a bit flat, even kind of watered down, but I don't think it's too far off from what I get in other "milkshake" IPAs. Probably a result of the lactose. Easy-drinking, but not exciting to drink. Standard for the style as far as I'm concerned in this area.
Overall, this is just ok and not one of Exhibit A's best efforts. I think they missed the mark on this one and probably could have used those blackberries to make a sour/berliner. This really leaves me wanting a crisper IPA or something more on the sour end of the spectrum, but I'm left in the middle somewhere with something that's lackluster. It's not bad and definitely not a drainpour, but I'm not thrilled with having 3 more of these in my fridge. The hint of onion is probably the high point for me, but I'm sure I'm in the minority on that one.

Pours a light fizzy head, medium retention, light lacing, semi clear right ruby bright red color
Nose brings a mix, some fruity berry, hint of lactose and light malt, the very dank onion mosaic dominates, pine sap, garlic, ewww, some generic citrus
Taste brings some sweet malt up front, little candy like, creamy lactose, soft juicy ipa, big fruity blackberry, then citrus, orange zest, grapefruit pith, little tropical, but behind that again is dank pine sap and onion, thankfully not as much as the nosenose... Oh wait the finish is all dank onion pine, Damn!
Mouth is med bod, very creamy juicy and soft, medium highest creamy carb, the only good thing with this beer
Overall this was a super mess, no idea what they were thinking. None of this jives, the fruit, the lactose, the hops, especially the dank onion mosaic. Two terrible beers in a row from them. I hope it's not becoming a thing!
