Continuing our love for and support for local malt, this dark lager was brewed as a homage to the strong Bock beers of Germany. Rich caramel maltiness followed by lingering dark and stone fruit sweetness are balanced out by a slight soft but present bitterness.

Draft at the brewery
Big creamy foamy tan head with good retention and lacing, dark brown little ruby light
Nose some roasted malt, a bit of dark fruit likely malt derived esters, hint of chocolate nougat
Taste dark malts up front, roasted malt but smooth, some cocoa and choc ganache, nougat, little sweetness, fruity eater notes almost like rye, light bitterness, little creamy, into a bit of caramel and biscuit toasted malt, semi sweet finish, lingering mild choc covered fruity esters notes
Mouth is fuller bod but still soft and a bit creamy, med carb, smooth alcohol
Overall an interesting beer, pretty good overall, like the dark malts without being too roasty or bitter, fruity ester notes were interesting and blended well
