355 mL can from a six-pack purchased at the LCBO a couple months back; dated Dec 3 2019 and served at cellar temperature.
Pours a slightly foggy copper-amber colour, graced with an inch-thick head of foamy, puffy, cream-coloured head. It holds together for the better part of five minutes, steadily reduced to a wide, frothy collar and a thin cap; a tight band of lacing is produced in the process. It definitely smells the part of a Belgian dubbel, featuring a good mix of bready, caramelized malts and candi sugar aromas, together with some fig, raisin, banana and clove spiciness. There's also some hints of yeastiness, as well as a touch of alcohol.
Not a bad little dubbel. The flavours follow after the aroma - bready malts, caramel and candi sugar at first, with an added suggestion of cocoa. From there, notes of banana, fig and raisin join in, with spicy hints of clove and licorice wrapping up the tail end of the sip; lingering dried fruit sweetness and yeastiness in the aftertaste. Medium in body, with assertive carbonation, at least at first - it exhausts itself quickly, resulting in a smooth, kinda flat texture for the last half of the glass.
Final Grade: 3.73, a B+. I enjoyed my glass of Anderson's Winter 2019, though I wouldn't say it was a superlative (or even a particularly memorable) dubbel. I like this better than the 2018 Winter (a spicy 7% winter warmer), but that has more to do with personal tastes (i.e. I'm not a big 'spiced beer' fellow) vs. an actual difference in quality. There probably isn't a lot of this left on the shelves now, but don't be afraid to give it a shot if you're looking for something malt forward and Belgian-inspired.

Pours a dark brown, very aromatic, has the usual Belgian bitterness. Easy drinking for a Belgian-style Beer Has a bit less ABV than I’ve come to expect from a Belgian Dubbel
