I always like an oude bruin and I do like this one. Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass. Orangish, reddish brown color, a bit hazy with little head or lacing. Smell and taste of tart cherries. Some sweet apple and red wine. Nice earthy funk rounds it out. My first from this brewery and I will look for their beers in the future.

Old barrel aged sour with a spicy bite/kick ... Fun to drink and interesting to taste ... Looks like mine was bottled in 2017 ... It has aged well and I am enjoying ;-)

Had on tap. A fresh take on the Flanders Oud Bruin with the tons of cherries and the wine barrel. Really added some tart and sweet flavors to the grainy base beer. Smelled like fresh fruit and a bouquet of flowers! Don't know if I would want a ton of this in one sitting, but a single glass was quite lovely, especially on a sunny spring day

Dark reddish color, not fully brown but no big deal. Crackling foam fizzles away in a minute or two.
Aroma is subtle at first but there is some minor dark sour cherry and wet leather barrel character.
Plenty of sour cherry in the taste, with tannic cherry skins and light wet barrel notes rounding it out.
Carbonation is a little light, but adequate. Body is on the lighter side of medium. Tart and tangy, but not sour. Overall I dig this, and it's worth a try. Glad to see Whiner finally releasing some barrel-aged stuff.
