Pours black in color with two fingers of cream-colored foam. Aroma is pine and grass hops leading out bready and earthy malts. It's bitter and sticky. Flavor profile is pine, grass, and minor herbal hops. Bready and earthy malts add some substance. Less bitter than the nose, but like a good fair black IPA, it leans sticky and bitter as a whole. Mouth feel is medium in thickness. Texture is soft around the edges with a subtle crispiness. Overall, old school with a nice bite.
