A medium bodied lager that drinks incredibly smooth. Aroma and flavor present a nice toasty character.

This review is for the 2023 edition, aged by the brewery, and then served for Oktoberfest of 2024. These notes were taken the night of the tapping!
Pours a dark brown with a mild fog to the translucency. Head is a finger of off-white foam. Aroma is rich molasses, toffee, fig, and caramel. Nice deep malts, with soft spicy hops floating on top. Flavor profile is back to the bold richness of molasses, toffee, and caramel. Earthy malts add a touch of bitterness and help ground out some of the initial sugary notes. Soft spicy and zesty hops further bring things to balance. Mouth feel is medium-thick. Texture is soft with a mild silt. Overall, really fun. Nice body and smooth.

32oz crowler. Poured out a dark, dark amber color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of toasted caramel, sweet toffee and a hint of coffee. Sweet caramel and toffee taste with roasted malt and a light bitterness.
