Black with a billowy tan head. Nice enough aroma but rather thin on the palate with a narrow flavor profile. The only thing I can really taste is the slightly acrid flavor of what I assume is charred barley. Less robust and with a lower alcohol content than what I consider to be a really good stout, and much drier than I prefer.

Can
Appearance: Black glass shows brown edges when tilted, hold a halo of tan foam but doesn't lace.
Aroma: Dark roast grain, hints of chocolate and coffee, and a mild earthy hop.
Taste: Dry stout profile, light body, slight tannin roasted grain bitter, light fruity pear note.
Mouthfeel: Light medium body, super dry finish, low carbonation.
Overall: Solid brew. Super dry, but manages a big flavor profile with a thin body.
