Appearance: Golden yellow glass, holds a thin halo of white foam that laces the glass.
Aroma: Yeasty, lemon rind, wheat, beery.
Taste: A bit of hefe yeast, the lemon note is there, a bit of wet grain and earthiness.
Mouthfeel: Light grit, medium light body, medium carbonation, dry finish.
Overall: Nice beer! Summery, refreshing, citric, a bit down the Hefe road but comes across in style as an American Wheat. There is a little banana / rotten fruit (as the Mrs. refers to it). I like it, could see ordering it on a hot day, but there's a big world to explore.

Pours a hazy golden yellow color with a thick foamy head. Head retention is very good. Lacing is excellent. Strong clove aroma with a hint of banana in the background. There is a lot of spiciness and clove in the taste with a very, very mild banana. Light to medium bodied with heavy carbonation.

Beats the hell out of the other highly rated "Texas Hefeweisens" I've tried so far (e.g., Lone Oak). Glad I picked this one up while it was on sale, but now it's out of stock locally. The carbonation on this brew rivals that of Duvel and I have never experienced that from a domestic beer.
