Note: I added Growler to the name accidentally, but this is during COVID-19 and only beer to go, so it may only exist in growlers.
Appearance: Good clarity in a brown amber glass, slight glow but does show through, heavy lacing of the glass, but holds a fairly thin head.
Aroma: Bready, nutty, earthy hop, a bit leafy, malt.
Taste: Malt driven, but not very sweet. Well toasted grain but no char tastes. Slight mineral edge, mineral water, but generally clean profile. The earthy hops are light, the malt if full flavor but not sweet leading toward a very balanced taste.
Mouthfeel: Low carbonation, medium light body, watery texture, slight grit, slick and warm finish dries out to a slight metallic edge.
Overall: Well crafted brew, tastes "German", but more German-American, which is as Texan as you can be. Easy drinking, another very solid brew from a brewery that not misplaced a step.
