Kind of a typical, mid-level Dunkel. Has the expected dark color and overflows with a massive amount of brown foam. Nice yeasty bread and malt smell. Taste is bread yeast, nutty roasted malts, cigar wrap and shoe leather, sweet caramel, and spicy herbal bitterness from the hops. Creamy mouthfeel. Somehow actually too much carbonation. Not great but not bad either, it did scratch my Dunkel itch.

Dark chocolate, crystal like clarity and dark garnet highlights. Refined, blonde roast aroma...light hardwood, cigar room leather, caramel and almond perfume. Fresh notes of hay on the palate, malty sweetness mid palate finishing with toast and winter spices. A bit of caramel lingers tipping the beer towards sweetness. Med body and quaffable brew.
