Adjuncts coconut and chocolate.
On tap. Tan head. Black color. Lace.
Sweet. Hersheys syrup. Milk chocolate and sweet toasted coconut. Very desserty. A bit too thick and cloying for me.

Look: Black with light brown head that leaves lacing along the glass.
Smell: Artificial coconut that reminds me of cheap coconut scented suntan oil.
Taste: overwhelming lactose sugar and metallic coconut drown out chocolate malts and cocoa nibs.
Feel: medium.
Overall: While a stout with coconut, cocoa nibs, and malts sound good, this really doesn’t taste that great. And while I like sweet pastry stouts this one is cloyingly sweet and hard to finish. On the positive side the alcohol was well masked.
From the brewer: “Conditioned on loads of toasted coconut and Ghana cocoa nibs, this big imperial pastry milk stout offers a thick and rich mouthfeel with bright coconut aromas and sweet, bold background chocolate.”
