Had on tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a snifter, pristine, crystal clearness and brilliant gold in color with an island of suds in the middle and a razor thin ring of suds on the outside of the glass. A few small spots make up the lace.
SmellĀ - Sweet and slightly fruity aroma, with a touch of grain and grass sitting beneath that.
Taste - Follows the nose. Apple-ish sweetness and lesser citrus with a touch of grain. Very faint grassy bitterness in the finish. Balanced aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with fair carbonation. Slick drinker with a crisp, easy and mostly dry finish.
Overall - Pretty damn good lager. Not the most flavorful, but whats here shows a decent amount of complexity while being crisp and crushable. I'm an ale honk, but I can appreciate this one.
