Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a snifter, slight haze and bright orange in color. Mostly barren surface, with a razor thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. A few broken lines and a handful of spots make up a minimal lacing.
Smell - Sour fruitiness and a hint of leaf.
Taste - strawberry and lemony tartness upfront, which falls off fairly quickly, revealing a strange herbal quality along with a bit of grainy character.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with low carbonation. Thin, somewhat watery finish.
Overall - It starts off nicely, but falls off quick and gets a bit odd. Rare miss from Claimstake.
