From tasting notes 10/1/20
Had on-tap at Claimstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a willi pint, lightly hazy and hay yellow in color with a thin layer of suds across the surface. No lacing save a few tiny spots.
Smell - The nose hits on fruity esters and a bready undertone.
Taste - Wow, really interesting lager, with a hint of funk and fruit imparting some apple esters, banana and a trace of bright citrus. Light grain notes. Finish has a hint of lemon and bread.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a clean, balanced finish.
Overall - Really interesting lager they got going. Frankly, it was a pleasant surprise to find as much flavor as being offered here. At 4.2%, this is a beer you could drink all day without tiring too much with the flavor.
