Our gift to the Windy City, in celebration of our Chicago launch and as an homage to the many friends that have welcomed us with open arms. West Coast Pilsner with Nugget, Chinook, Eclipse & Loral.

I styled this as German Pilsner because it has fewer hops than the typical Czech.
Apapacho Looks average, minimal foam. Mostly malt in my nose. Tastes are balanced with the hops present, then finishing strong like the style. Light-mouthed, good enough bubbles. Good enough to wash-down a cheese sandwich at lunch.
As further description from what I copied from UnTappd below when adding this brew, the following quotation is from Pilot Project's page for Paracaidista: "Apapacho" is a Mexican term that means a warm, welcoming hug. Chicago has given us a metaphorical hug since day one and this beer is our symbolic hug in return. Combining our love for crisp, clean lager and dank, new-world hops, this Pilsner has it all. Bright notes of mandarin and kiwi dry out to spicy, noble hop bitterness. Thanks, Chicago!"
I'm not sure why they call this a West Coast Pilsner (except maybe because all 4 hops are from there.) That name detracts from the homage to Chicago. But let's go with it. Everyone at the Pilot Project is learning. And learning to say thank you is good enough. Gracias !

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
