Their mother was a hamster and their father smelt of elderberries. Now they're in town with a few days to kill. This summer, the bovines won’t be taking a vacation…in space, where no one can hear you scream. Bigger. Smarter. Faster. Meaner. So many cows. So little time to determine the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow. Be thirsty. Be very thirsty.

Anywaaaaay, personally, we hope you're going to enjoy this Farmhouse Saison, aged for six months in second-use bourbon barrels & then blended with more saison. All the flavours of our classic saison plus oak, tannin, bourbon & vanilla! Fill your vessel of choice with this très flavourful blended saison & then please permit us to cheers in your general direction.

Golden body, chill haze, bubbly white head drifts away within a minute, not great retention.
Crisp apples, oatmeal, clean lake water, on the nose. Mild and clean.
Flavour and body are reminiscent of water as well, unfortunately. There's a touch of apple juice with minimal sweetness or juiciness, high minerality like purified water, some mild caramel malt, and very little of the spicy/fruity/yeastiness of a typical saison. This is almost lager territory. There's a touch of hops in the finish, which is dry and crisp. Light body and carbonation, no hint of alcohol.

Lacks substance, but have to say it does have a purity and cleanness that is refreshing and on the edge of being refined (if not for too much residual sugar and not enough hop balance). It's a miss for the style, but not a bad drink on a summer day.
