This beer is great, big chocolate flavor and mouth feel gets better as it warms.

I had this at the brewery on tap. It smells like really strong sweet chocolate. It tastes sweet and exactly like a Hershey chocolate bar. I really like this.

the bartender either wouldnt give us more information on this, or didnt know the story, but there is either three types of chocolate in this one, or chocolate of some kind is added at three different stages of the process. i would lean towards the former, although its entirely up in the air. in any event, its a killer beer, packed with dark and sweet chocolate flavors throughout, plenty of bitterness from cocoa and roasted malts, and a largeness and smoothness of feel that makes it quite memorable. sticky sweet up front but pretty resolved by the finish. a good dose of real chocolate, adds a ton of flavor to this. notes of espresso and tobacco are also here, adding some depth to an already deep brew. not that this is boozy at all, but it drinks like its 10% abv, i mean, it seems to demand a relaxed pace and being allowed to warm, and it does so gracefully. i couldnt drink more than one, but i was fully impressed with this. i like the alarm clock coffee edition a little more, but this is one of the better chocolate forward beers i have had all year.
