Collaboration with White Elm Brewing Company
This is a collaboration beer we did with our buddies at White Elm. Big Double Mashed Russian Imperial Stout that spent a year in Heaven Hill barrels. This is similar to our Heaven Hill White Stout but with more depth of oak, coconut and vanilla character due to the longer time in the barrels. One smooth character- capable and captivating. You want to ask this one to prom.

Big 750ML gold-waxed bomber liberated from Lincoln, NE after I spent an ill-advised evening (& not wonderful morning) at the bar sipping big, tasty stouts. Split with my wife.
The wax has slipped stealthily under the cap, making it a half-bitch to get through & into the dark liquid, with a nose of sweet bourbon & oak & chocolate. Winning combo.
Thin Meh is a ragged, charred thing of beauty. The char is on top, melding with the bourbon to average out to a smooth, wicked character with only the faintest appearance of alcohol. Mid-palate is vanilla, a deep sweetness, oak, & chocolate. Apropos feelmouth & seeing as I had four or five samples of the Thin variants while visiting the brewpub, I’ve proven I could drink plenty of this.
Well, I’m headed back to Omaha tomorrow, & I don’t see how I could avoid another visit to Boiler, because, damn. I should have booked a hotel in Lincoln. Missed opportunity…
