16oz cans from Tavour. Dark brown pour, one finger beige foamy head. Mellow roasty aroma, light chocolate. Taste starts with a bit of sweetness, light roasty notes, chocolate, woody, nutty. Not overly bitter, but it is present throughout. Dry finish.

It’s not often you see breweries collaborating with home brew clubs. I’ve seen that happen maybe 2 or 3 times, but this is my first review of one. I went in blind with this one, I know nothing about Boiler (or Lincoln Lagers club) but I took the gamble because I love Baltic Porters. Let’s crack it open and find out what it’s all about
Pours a dark reddish brown with 3 fingers of creamy tan head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
The nose here is pretty much everything I love about the style, fruity and roasty with a wonderful balance. I’m picking up on aromas of raisin, brown sugar, black cherry, biscuity malt, cocoa powder, medium roast coffee, burnt caramel, light leafy hops, and book leather
It doesn’t have quite the same nuance in taste, leaning more into the bitter notes. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting brown sugar, burnt toast, red grape, black tea, toffee, spent coffee beans, leafy hops, and cocoa powder. The swallow brings notes of black cherry, brown sugar, biscuity malt, leafy hops, molasses, red grape, light toffee, and black tea
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth and creamy beer. Finishes neutral and drinks well below its abv
This is an awesome example of the style. A bit more of the earthy fruity notes would take it to the next level, but I can’t really complain

Revisited January 17th, 2026 (International Baltic Porter Day)
Clear, dark brown pour, opaque in the glass; fantastically dense and lasting head, long-lasting; fat rings of foam with specks of foam and lacing inside the glass. Beautiful nose; soft and sweet cocoa with hints of vanilla and delicate caramel. Mild cocoa and chocolate flavors intertwined with a sneaky boozy edge; muted phenol presence in the background; faint grain char; a wisp of vanilla. Heavy body with a dense, velvety caress; smooth and luscious on the palate; softly dry.
I don't know when I acquired this bottle, but its quite noticeably better than the canned version I have had previously. The overall fullness and roundness is incredible and the taste, while mildly boozy, really exudes its lager and porter roots. A most wonderful beer!
ABV: 10%; pouring temperature: 54.2 °F; bottling info: n/a although it does state 'Celebrating 30 Years of Homebrewing Excellence'

Pours a dark yet clear brown color, appears black and opaque in the glass; thick, lasting, creamy, tan colored head. Fantastic aroma comprised of milk chocolate and mocha; roasted malt grains; sweet. The taste mirrors the aroma; richer in flavor; moderate sense of charred grain bitterness; a nice twist of booziness cutting through the sweetness; coffee. Heavy body; slightly chewy; a touch of alcohol dryness offsetting the residual sugar heaviness.
This is an incredible Baltic porter. It exudes fantastic depth and complexity, is lip-smacking delicious, and well-worth the drinking experience.
ABV: 10%; pouring temperature: 43 °F; canning info: 55 1-18 BP
