Plenty of IPAs will promise you the moon and the stars, looking to seduce you with words of smashing bitterness and hops everlasting. Actually, we're not here to "blow you away with a lupulin cannon," or "peel the enamel off your teeth." East IPA is a clean, drinkable IPA that's packed with flavor and offers a bold balance, not a smack in the head. American hops soar in the bright piney aroma, while East Kent Goldings hops bring the taste of stone fruits and firm bitterness from IPA's ancestral British home. Give our East IPA a try with some rich crab cakes or salmon, strike up a conversation with farmhouse cheddars, and find harmony alongside spicy dishes. East IPA's blend of tradition and exuberance sets the standard for hop-driven deliciousness.

Copper in color, very clear too. Nice white head that fades to a glass gripping lacing/head. Nose is somewhat malty or maybe wheat. Taste was somewhat caramel with pine. Nice bitter bite.

44 cl can poured into a can glass in Toulouse France.
This hybrid American-Euro IPA hits a lot of the right notes and comes in at a respectable 6.9% ABV. It sits well by itself or with most any food. It’s a bit better than just OK.

Pretty good IPA (I'm not the biggest fan of them in general).

Appearance: Clear pale gold, large off white head, light lacing.
Aroma: Piney up front, fading to citrus before a soft mashup of malts.
Taste: Nice balance but the resinous hops are showing their strength.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and well carbonated.
Overall: A good one to relax with.

Nice pours emptied the entire contents of two brown twelve ounce bottles into a clear glass liter mug. By nice, at cellar temperature, there wasn't any stark white foam produced. Instead, there was a very modest off-white head, although it didn't last long. Below it is a bright golden-amber liquid that's relatively translucent. Unfortunately, it's not very aromatic, as both malt and hops are hard for the nose to find. It tastes fine, although without much memorable character. A true American IPA, there's a noticeable hop bite, with both pine and citrus notes, carried by a malt body that provides some sweetness and earthiness. The mouthfeel is sufficient enough to carry the taste and light enough to go down easily. There may not be much glass lacing to bear witness to a good traditional IPA, but this at least gets much right.

Dependable IPA on tap in many places where you might be indifferent to most other taps. Brooklyn Brewery still got it ... sometimes. Steady IPA. Little bit of sweet but not overwhelming. Not much scent or initial kick. Which is fine.
