On-tap at NoMad Restaurant, New York, NY
A: The beer is very dark brown in color - when held up to a bright light traces of dark red are visible through the glass. It poured with a finger high beige head that has very good retention properties and never completely faded away.
S: Light to moderate aromas of Belgian yeast are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and starts off with flavors of Belgian yeast and hints of candi sugar. Once the beer begins to warm up, it becomes a little sweeter and maltier.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and very dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I liked the contrasting flavors of the sweetness and dryness of this Belgian brown ale. It paired very well with the whole roasted chicken for two.

Serving: On tap at The NoMad restaurant, 12 oz pour into a stemmed Pilsner (beer tulip) glass.
Appearance: Clear, deep amber brown. Good, foamy tan head leaving moderate lacing.
Smell: Grainy bread, spicy Belgian yeast.
Taste: Full malty body but with restrained sweetness. Belgian yeast, spice and slight, warming alcohol notes. Gentle bitterness and a relatively dry, slightly mineral finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium towards fuller body with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Potent and full flavored to stand up against NoMad's rich, truffle-laced roast chicken, while drinkable (and not so sweet) to complement the entire dinner.
