This IPA poured a somewhat dark amber with an excellent fluffy head. The main feature which stuck out in both smell and taste was the scent of alcohol, which can be expected in an IPA. However, I felt that the alcohol taste was stronger than in other IPAs I have tasted. As the beer warmed, this alcohol taste became even more pronounced. This was better than most beers in general, but average for the style.

A very nice orange-amber colored body is topped by a frothy white head that holds well and leaves some good lace. The aroma is fruity and malty with a light caramel note and a touch of grassy hop at the back. The body is medium with a moderate carbonation level, giving it a nicely creamy mouthfeel. The flavor is well balanced between a lightly caramel maltiness, a gentle hop flavor, and a solid backing bitterness. The finish is dryish with a soft, lingering maltiness. A very well-balanced, non-agressive IPA for easy consumption, or for the intermediate beer enthusiast who's learning to enjoy hoppy beers.

Nicely hopped. Fresh taste, a little buttery toward the end. Still, a good IPA
