Can. Misty gold with a thick billowy white head.
A rich and heady tropical hop smell. Guava, lychee, oranges and more.
The hops meld together upon tasting with the addition of shredded coconut. Low bitter finish.
Moderate to full body and a light carbonation. Chewy and yet some dryness makes it quite drinkable.
Nice one.

Copper colored with a lightly hazy complexion. There’s a quarter inch of dishwater white on top. The aroma is of onions and earthy, herbal hops. I’m tasting lime, onions, and earthy, herbal hops. The mouth is resinous and dry.

Pours a hazed honey color with 3 fingers of beige colored head. Good head retention & average-ish lacing

S: Citrus, guava

T: Pineapple, green melon, guava, oranges & bready dryness upfront. Some leafy hops mix with pineapple & orange as this warms, plus a little green melon & peach. Finishes with a little dryness, sweet orange, strawberry& guava

MF: Medium body, low carbonation; nice balance

Well done beer , very drinkable, pleasant surprise

Poured a slightly golden orange body with minimal body and lace ring around the glass. Beer has a strong tropical fruit smell but swear get some caramel malt as well. Sticky, slightly sweet maltiness, a touch of booze, a strong tropical fruit taste with a sweet fruitiness on finish but also a touch of floral hoppiness and is very enjoyable.

Almost another candidate for a NE Imperial IPA category!!!! Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass. Presents a fairly dull, hazy orange/yellow color with a medium size foamy white head. Head retention is good and there are thin bands of light lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste are close to the NE style. Citrus flavor, mild bitterness and "dankness". The big difference is a healthy dose of caramel malt that adds sweetness and a more robust flavor than the typical NE IPA. Mouthfeel is fairly rich, crisp and mildly bitter. There is not much alcohol presence for 8.50 % abv. A very enjoyable drink!!!

Not many breweries can do it like that: Put the best principles of fruity hops on a crisp and refreshing base while giving a worthwhile alcohol content. They seem to have uses as much of the hazy flavors of hops and applied a classic midwest balance to a beer worthy of photobombing many drinking sessions.

Moderately hazy, golden amber and cast in a slight coppery hue, Butterfly Photobomb first crowns with a creamy off-white foam and then swooning the senses with the bright succulent aromas of citrus, tropical and stone fruit with hints of spruce and gin-like botanical spices looming. A general and medium level sweetness greets the tongue with the likeness of caramel, granola, honey and toasted shortbread.

The hop flavors simply blossom on the middle palate with a bouquet of mango, orange, pineapple, red grapefruit, apricot and peach for a depth of fruit succulence and a bright, branch-ripe character. As the fruit flavors pull the malts along for added sweetness, the grain sugars start to fall off and steer the session in a bitter direction with the suggestions of traditional pine, citrus peel, lemon pepper and fresh grassiness.

Full bodied but with a resinous spice in finish the beer finds a path toward dryness, crispness and refreshment despite its imperial strength and firmer textures. A medium long linger ensures that a bitterness frames the finish in classic Imperial IPA form.

Observations take place after the contents of a pint can are emptied into a clear glass Imperial pint mug. The brew is a dull but bold dark orange-amber with an off-white head. It smells malty and hoppy in a contradictory way, both juicy and dry. The taste begins nicely enough; rich, smooth and malty sweet. The bitter hop finish becomes astringent and causes the 8.5% ABV to become unpleasantly noticeable. It takes a great recipe to make this much alcohol taste disappear from an IIPA and this isn't great. However, it's preferable to other Imperial IPAs which get starched into blandness. The head didn't survive the five minutes it took to down the sixteen ounces and there was no glass lacing. Not bad, but along with too much taste of alcohol, a milder dose would augment the overall, there's a little stickiness that shouldn't be a part of a good strong IPA.

Served in a tulip glass from the can.

Appearance: Hazy body with a orange skin color and a white head which initially rose just below one fingers length off the body.

Smell: Light bland citrus juice which dissipates quickly from the nostrils.

Taste: The taste actually is super smooth citrus and hints of floral and tropical fruit. It has a malty sweetness to the beer which is ridiculously refreshing.

Mouth: Crisp feel with a soft carbonation and sticky body. The tropical finish which feels like a fistful of mosaic and cashmere hops just hovering your cheeks.

Overall: Good brew. Honestly for the money I think it's a steal, especially how juicy and refreshing the beer is. Salud!

Look: Hazy orange/yellow with some white foam on top.
Smell: Sweet grassy and herbaceous smell.
Taste: Citrus and wildflowers. Not much bitterness but the hops are still busy.
Feel: Light and effervescent, good for the summertime.
Overall: Good albeit light for a DIPA.
