Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip. On a side note... this is some of the ugliest pastel bottle artwork possible. Not sure what they were thinking.
L: Cloudy dark golden pour with 2 fingers of foamy white head. Reasonable lacing.
S: Tart... lemon/lime and green fruit.
T.F: Crackery grains... tart but not even close to sour. Strong lemon/lime citrus... simple but tasty. A bit of salt at the finish. Medium to light bodied... well carbonated and refreshing.
O: A simple but decent fruited sour. You can pick up the lime... and this is a nice warmer weather brew.

12 oz can, best by 6/2021, into Southern Grist Willie.
Deep gold with a 1/2 finger of head, receding to a fingernail and leaving no lace.
Aromas of salted rim and lime margarita. Some honey grain and pilsner malt. Kinda faint.
Flavors of pilsner grain, banana pudding, bubble gum, lime, salt, sour culture, and a hint of passion fruit.
Feel is acidic, highly carbonated, and biting. No alcohol heat.
Overall a very enjoyable and tasty session sour. Would probably have again. I like this Bel Air series.

It's a pretty bright and sunny day around here, not really feeling very much like winter. For the occasion, I felt like I had to bust out a simple sour to refresh myself. I've had their original Bel Air and enjoyed it quite a bit. For a simple fruited sour it was damn solid, and I expect the same from this
Pours a hazy orange gold with a finger of white head that quickly fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is simple and slightly tart but still draws me in for a sip. I'm picking up on aromas of tart lime, bready malt, apple skin, floral hops, and orange
The taste pretty much follows the nose, but presents less of a tart bite than I would have expected. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting crackery malt, some wheat, light lime, and a touch of earthy hops. The swallow brings notes of tannic white wine, a lemon/lime combo, and crisp bready malt
A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a dry and thirst quenching beer. Finishes mostly dry but coats the mouth a bit as I feel most sours do
Just like the original, this is a solid simple sour. Something I could definitely throw back a few of on a hot summer day. Pretty cheap too, less than $2 for a single can and the 6 pack was marked down to $10

Poured from a can. Golden with a foamy white head and some lacing. Smells a little like medicine, with a sour undertone. Much better on the flavor side, grassy, earthy while being a little sour with lime being very present.

Hazier and with a more sour and more bitter profile than the base Bel Air Sour - much limier - less sweet; very dry finish creates a lip-smacking, puckering effect - perhaps more tannic as well - another groovy sour, this one was labeled a gose at Total Wine, but here on-site its in with the wild ales - 5.8% abv...

Well, if I can't be on a tropical vacation, at least I can give the tastebuds one. The culinary team at Brooklyn brewery is stirring things up with an ale that entices the senses with bold citrus, tangy tropics and light pastry .
Bel Air Sour Key Lime pours a pale straw color and hosts a standard translucent haze. And that's where its bready attitude begins. Whole grain, baking bread and those sharp citrus notes join up with cider, wine and cellar-like must before heading into taste. Soft on the early palate, its confectioner's sweetness carries the whimsy of both cookie dough and sourdough.
Embarking upon the middle palate, the ale starts to shed its wafer sweetness and invites the sourness to assist in balance. Key Lime flavors are paramount, and to a lesser extent lemon, grape, gooseberry, green apple and passionfruit swirl in an exotic, fruity and tart taste. Light on hay-like bitterness, the acidity balances the faint sweetness that trails into a musty dry back note of burlap and dried woods.
Medium dry in finish, the ale's brisk tartness is brightened with mild salinity and the pursuit of lime zest that close quickly and with a crisp, refreshing bite. Bel Air is a delightful beer that's more than tart but not full-on sour either. Stuck in the middle, the beer desperately wants to step deeper into the acidity.

Color is light gold and the smell is citrusy. The taste has lime and salt flavors on the front end and a slightly sour after taste that is not very strong. So drinkability is higher on this one than many other sours.
If you are a fan of any beers with lime, I think you will like this one. As far as sours go, I do think the original Bel Air Sour is a better representation.
