Pour a semi-clear pale golden yellow with a small white bubbly head that recedes rather quickly.

Aromas begin with a light herbal and equally floral hops blending with some light biscuity, slightly grainy pale maltiness. Not picking out the alledged Rosetips or Rosebuds that were added here.

The tastes begins with the crisp pale maltiness quickly balanced by the earthly and floral hop bitterness and flavors.

The mouthfeel is medium-light bodied with medium carbonation. The finish is quite crisp and refreshing overall/

Overall I enjoyed this beer but I was left wanting a little more. I really enjoy the dry pale maltiness, coupled with the earthy hop balance but something just didn't pop for me. Maybe the flavors were too balanced if that's possible; drinks more like an English Pale Ale than an American example. A good beer but not a great American Pale Ale; lacks citrus or fruitiness I associate with the style. Also there was supposedly Rose Hips which I did not detect unless that was the earthiness.

A: light golden yellow with a slight haze, persistent
S: perfect balance between hops and malt, excellent display of herbal and floral hop bouquet. Malt sneaks into the background in perfect harmony
T: has the hop bittering of an ipa, but mouthfeel of a pale ale has not overly malty like most apa.
M:light bodied beer , crisp effervescent refreshing
O: great session beer I'm not much of a fan of pale ales but this is a great example of a well balanced refreshing apa, one of the best apa I've ever had wasn't overly malty like is the case for most beers in this style.
