We brew each batch with over 3,000 pounds of fresh raspberries and both sour and sweet cherries. The addition of fruit prior to fermentation makes this crisp ale tart instead of sweet. It’s pink in color of course, light-bodied, and refreshing with delicate, delectable berry aromas. We’ll bet the farm that there’s no better autumn seasonal around.

The beer pours out into a Duvel glass a medium pink-tined amber with a 1" head of finely bubbled what foam that slowly settels to a thin layer on the liquid and leaving a ring and patches of leggy foam on the sides of the glass. Sipping creates sheets of foam that quickly slide back down leaving multiple small patches of foam on the sides.
The aroma is definitely fruity with the raspberries mostly in charge but there seems to be a background of cherry as well. There's really not much in the way of malt or hop in the background and the berries are in charge here.
The flavors are a nice mix of raspberries with some tart cherry mingled in. While there is a bit of tartness here there's also some sweetness mixed in. As expected from the nose the malt and hops don't show very much.
The mouth feel is on the light side of medium bodied with a touch of crispness from the light, prickly carbonation. The finish begins about midway through as the tartness from the cherries pushes its way to center stage and then all the flavors gradually fade away with some degree of tartness holding on all the way to the end.
Given that I'm generally a fan of Yard's beers I was a bit surprised to realize that I hadn't tried this one before. I'll certainly be having it again as it can be a very refreshing change of pace and something that would go well on a warm summer's evening. I could easily see having this as one of the main offerings at a backyard BBQ.

An immeditately refreshing tart ale. Decent flavoring though nothing too complex. The color is rather ambiguous but it lends towards a burnt mauve. It's not particulrarly sweet, and just a bit tart. I like how this was brewed with the cherries and raspberries as opposed to added, which certainly means a big difference than just adding flavoring in my opinion. It is crisp almost like a cider. It's not complex and certainly may serve as a good intro to tart and sour ales from regular adjuncts.

12 oz bottle from the Philadelphia area served in a lager glass.
Appearance. While this is not actually pink there's a definite reddish tint in the clear brown-orange body. This may influence the head which also has a subtle pinkish tone.
The aroma is a fine mix of grains and fruit with a just distinguishable raspberry note. The flavor also carries a well balanced blend of grain bass, including wheat, with fruit. The cherry addition has a noticeable impact on the mildly tart flavor.
Mouthfeel. Well carbonated and smooth medium body.

The color is a vibrant cherry with golden undertones... The nose is mild with hints of berries... The flavor is mild as expected... Subtly tart... Light fruit... Pilsner malt undertones... Light bodied with a touch of stickiness... Simple and refreshing... Does its job nicely in a warm spring night after yard work...

This pours a pretty pink...er, pynk...color with an off-white head. Aroma and flavor feature moderate amounts of raspberry and to a lesser extent cherries. Light malt/wheat backbone with a hint of tartness. Decent but nothing I'll seek out again.

Yards a very good, older-school US craft brewery. That means they make balanced pale ales, not everything the brew has citra in it, and they don't charge 15 bucks for a four pack of cans. I revere such breweries, but I usually steer clear of their attempts at producing iterations of popular trends. But we had such a lovely time at the brewery on Friday, I couldn't help but pick up a few sixers.
Pynk is billed as a "tart berry ale," with no full explanation of where the tartness comes from. It pours a lovely rose color with attractive effervescence and a decently sized head.
Aroma is light cherries and biscuity malt. A nice combination. There doesn't appear to be any wild yeast or bacteria and so the lack of intensity might throw some people off.
Tastes very nice. Pleasantly understated. Lightly tart cherries up front, more rounded raspberries in the middle blending against bready malt, and a mildly chewy, pleasantly dry finish.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Clear light golden pink pour. 2 fingers of fluffy white head. Nice lacing.
S: Light grains... tart fruit.. baking cherry.
T.F: Follows the nose. Light malts... minimal tartness and some fruit character. Baking cherry and raspberry. Not sour by any means. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Some fruit sweetness in the middle. Relatively mild flavor.
O: Easy drinking... simple and without a lot going on. Looks good... smells ok... tastes like not much. No reason to seek this one out. REALLY doesn't help this beer that I drank it after a Hill Farmstead. Maybe good for 'baby's first sour' but not something that's going to impress.
