I enjoyed my two previous Belgians from Ravinia, but this one... not so much.
Two For One Looks inviting with an initial foam; but it fades quickly. Then the rest of the dubbel is average by American crafters' standards. Smells imply fruit, but not a lot. And while Tastes are balanced in a malty sort of way (which I like), there is too little to them. I had Two For One with a red pasta sauce and it was fine; but they didn't do much to help one another get beyond their mediocrity.
On the other hand, I want to like Ravinia. A Northshore brewer emphasizing how beer goes with food is a good thing. And I hope to revisit their best.
