Had on tap at the brewery. Pours clear, chestnut in color with one inch head. Taste is roasted malt. Medium light body, roasty low carbonation. I like my English browns to be slightly sweeter. Outside of that knock, this is a perfectly average brown ale. Inoffensive, clean but just m'eh.

Pours chocolate brown color with a small tan head that faded in average time and left minimal spotty lacing. Smells nutty with wood notes, brown sugar, roasted malts, smoky grains and light piney accents. Tastes like it smells but with chocolate, burnt coffee grinds and light syrup. Very smooth and easy to drink.

Deep brown body with a khaki head, about one finger out of a crowler. Spotty, sticky lace with a faint ring around the glass.
The aroma is rich roasted malts and Baker's chocolate and molasses.
The taste is rich and roasty, like the aroma. Nice layers of chocolate, molasses, herbal hops and I slight char taste in the finish.
Medium+ body with good carbonation. Smooth mouth feel, very round up front with a spicy finish.

Pouring a cellar temp crowler into a pint glass. The beer pours a rich chocolatey brown color with creamy tan head of 3 cm foaming up on the pour. The head recedes slowly after the pour to a sturdy edge layer with wispy islands. The head leaves some windowpane lattice on my glass as it drops down. The aroma is almost all malt with dark cocoa and lots of roasted notes and maybe a little bit of an herbal hop note buried in the beer. I also find no alcohol on the nose for this lower booze beer.
The first sip reveals a silky smooth texture and average body with gentle rolling carbonation. These physical traits make this a very quaffable and the low ABV makes it an extremely sessionable beer.
Flavor is as the nose advertised with all malt profile of roasted notes and some dark chocolate. The beer gives a little molasses note on the finish with more roasted malt. Not any hops or booze anywhere. I really enjoy this drinkable, approachable, malt forward beer. Wish more folks made good brown ales instead of quadruple IPAs with wild yeast fermentations. If you are a malty go and check out this beer....and still be able to drive after having 2 with your pizza.
