Under the highway (95?) that passes thru the area, close to the LI sound. Mid sized place with a seemingly appropriate size parking lot.Lots of exposed bricks inside and out, large window out to the outdoor seating/dining area for when the weather cooperates. Just a few minutes walk to the local minor league baseball stadium
Several area inside to sit and relax, large bar area, plus a merchandise shop with beers in cans to go, plus the usual merch options. Pleasant staff and inviting atmosphere.
Beer wise it is 10 of their own flowing on tap and a herd of mostly quite worthy can/bottle options from guest breweries.
Pizza dominates the food options, plus a few salad options. Worthy spot for baseball pre-gaming, real beer and a tasty salad…(or pizza)

On the way back down from a VT/ME 4 day runaround jaunt with special Ed guest star. He’s never been, of course, as he doesn’t come around for play much no muur, and well, Brewmaster tix for the CT Real Ale Festival aren’t just going to come to you, you know. So Brewport. At the intersection of that there and here. Easy access from my commute points and a stone’s throw from Ed’s bridge; not that one, but another he’s trying to lay claim on. Jeff’s new digs, long overdue…
Parked around back, up and in. Big open factory space with a ‘U’ shaped center squared metal piece rivoted with gear wheel inlays under plexi topped bar greeting you; vertical plank base and piping foot rail. Seating for 27 or so on hightop swivel stool chairs all around. Drop periscope 16 tap tower (8 & 8) on both sides of the bar alternating, and another on the back counter prep and kitchen shout to subway tiled half wall.
Big brick logo block printed ‘BREWPORT’ far wall over a raised seating pen with a dozen booths & tables, and 3 long ‘caution: pinch point’ tables below shared on double benchings. On the other wall, a few perched booths above more booths tucked below. Long shared tables and raised roundies between there and the bar, and more forward the 3 bay doors opening over the deck; barrel tables and stave chairs there. Concrete floors, black beam ceiling & pillars, and ductwork across the room. Wide drop pan lamps over the seating, narrow cluster lamp trios over the bar, and pillar mounted gas lamps. The décor holds brewerania framed vintage adage (Elm City Ales, Long Shore Brewing Harvest Ale, Dock Street, Rhino Chasers) and a few brewery prints.
The brewery itself is tucked away behind the kitchen, viewable from the walkway there. Off to one side, a small ‘time out’ room displays some cool old brewerania (dig that old Hull’s label piece). And a rear private event space around the corner from there. On the other side, a larger event room with gaming (giant chess, checkers, connect 4, Jenga). Brewery banners, neons, and malt sacks hanging about. And a swag store up front; wearables and things to drink.
Meanwhile, back at the bar. 24 taps, pours available in 7oz, 12oz, & 16oz, crowler and on sampler. 8 house beers, I took in 5 of them on sampler and/or shorty (Seventh Inning SIPA, 4.6%, Centennial, easy drinking session IPA; Dr. Porter’s Stout, 5.5%, foreign style stout, star anise superstar, like, a lot; Arnold’s Vienna Cream Ale, 5.6%, coffee, toffee, chocolate; Barrett Brothers Brown Ale, 5.6%, English Brown, light chocolatiness; Schleuter Dunkelweiss, 5.4%, clove ‘nanananananana dunkelness), but, gar, didn’t get to these beers three (Old News Double IPA, 8%; Blood Orange Blonde Ale, 5%; South End Pale Ale, 5.2%). Dr. Porter’s Stout, Arnold’s Vienna Cream Ale, & Schleuter Dunkelweiss were the best of ‘em I had, but really there were no clunkers.
And 16 guest taps, a mix of craft Connecticut local (Two Roads No Limits Hefeweizen, Black Hog CT Love Bomb, Half Full Liquid Hoptimism, Back East Misty Mountain IPA), regional (Jacks Abby Kiwi Rising & House Lager, Harpoon UFO Winter Blonde, Victory Prima Pils, Captain Lawrence Liquid Gold), not here in the East (Alpine Duet, Sierra Nevada Otra Vez, Elysian BiFrost Winter Ale, Breckenridge Nitro Chocolate Orange Stout), a single import (Schofferhoffer Hefeweizen Grapefruit Bier), and a few ciders (Embark American Hopped Cider, Thimble Island Cider) just for fun. Plus a dozen and a half guest bottles and just as many wines.
Food is pizza and salads. Hmmmm. Pizza or salad, salad or pizza; tough one, but I’m going with the pizza. I did the Brewmaster (chicken, pepperoni, & hot cherry pepper) and added garlic ‘cause, I love that shit, while Ed went with a white pie and ate just half of it, like the 13 year old girl he is.
Good tunes. Sarahtender dealt well, and had a good know how of handling a pilot precise roller ball pen (as one does when scribbling beer notes in a small moleskin book). Beers were solid and in good shape and the pizza pleased. Good house and mad easy access from the highway above. And thank you for the CT RAF breathing room.

Nice energy in the space;
Good, but not great pizza;
Not a fan of the beer - a nice selection, but haven’t had anything that excited me.
Service has been consistently OK, but not more than that.

First off, terrific beers. It is nice to see some ignored styles done well and for a reasonable price.
Food is good. Pizza and salad. Both done well.
Lively bar area, lots of tables. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Lots of kids. (Can't win 'em all.)
Coolest bathroom in Connecticut.
Staff is friendly and they seem to hustle. the place was packed and we hardly had to wait for anything.
This may be my favorite place all around concerning beer centered establishments.
Lots of other beers on tap, a lot of them local. Don't like theirs? Drink some New England, Ommegang, Stone, etc.

Stopped yesterday for pizza and beer. Really like to the location. Vibe is modern industrial with games like chess if you make a left from the entrance and a modern bar if you make a right. Very clean and appealing. I believe there was a hockey game, so the vibe was a mix of pre-event crowd and locals. The pizza was good...Not New Haven great, but good. My friend and I split a pepperoni pizza and it was a good value and tasty. There was not anything left on our plates afterwards. The variety of taps was really good, especially for the area. Lots of local Connecticut brews and a decent bottle list. Service was knowledgeable, prompt, and courteous. Brewport also featured about eight of their brews. I applaud the variety as there was a coffee beer and a barleywine on tap as well as standard offerings like an IPA and brown ale. All of the beers were above average, but nothing blew me away. I will say that I think the barleywine could be really special if they bottled and aged it. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would go back. Really interested to see how their beers evolve.

Went last night, really pleased with the place. Lots of people will say odd location and whatever, but not much you can do in Bridgeport without scaring off the suburbanites. I think it's a great spot. Located a stone's throw from the Arena at Harboryard, and a quick walk (<10 mins) from the train station and ferry. Literally right off 95. Cool industrial space inside, I guess that's the theme here.
Good beers on tap, Luponic Distortion, Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest, G-Bot, Breaking Bud, couple more in bottles and cans. About 15 taps and 20 bottles. Only 2 Brewport beers were on tap, but each were fresh and not half bad. Had the stout and blonde ale and each were solid but nothing crazy, nothing hoppy was on tap from them.
Food is pizza, and it's pretty good. Very similar to BAR in New Haven. Thin crust, well done (burnt edges), good sauce, not a crazy amount of cheese. Apizza!
Worth stopping by and having some pie and brews.

Cool brewpub just off the highway exit. Large concrete block warehouse building that opens into the parking lot. Massive rectangular bar in the center of the room with additional tables on both side of it. 10 house beers on tap, plus another 10 or so regional guest taps, and cider and seltzer options. Friendly servers. Wood fired pizza was very nice.
