500 ml bottle into a tulip glass.
Pours a deep ruby color with a pinkish off-white head. No lacing and very little retention, as is normal for this type of beer. Beautiful color.
The aroma brings notes of grass, lemon zest, tart berries, and yeast. There's a bit of funk and sweet vanilla as well.
The flavor is far more vanilla forward than expected. Lots of yeast, fresh blueberries, oak, and some light grass and funk.
The feel is medium bodied with good carbonation. Not as lively or crisp as expected of the style. A little warming from the alcohol.
Overall, a good farmhouse ale that comes about as advertised. The flavor unfortunately betrays the tart, funky aroma in favor of sweeter notes, but it's still a well made beer.
