Taste: complex, malty, vanilla, dark bittersweet chocolate, some coconut, spices, and a boozy warm finish. woody, oak, cocoa, boozy nose. Black, opaque, with tan head and nice viscous film on the glass. Full body. Refined and everything in it.

Had high hopes for this one, but alas an average imperial stout. The barrels seem too hot for the underlying beer, giving a dissonance of heavy booze with sweet vanilla toned malt. The cocoa is not strong enough to tie together, and the body ends up being light, dry and thin. Color was nice on the pour, but looks are deceiving, needs more backbone!
