A darker, stronger version of a hefeweizen. Unfiltered, with all the same fruity flavors of banana and spicy clove and slight tartness, plus a malty caramel sweetness and an extra kick. Pair with acidic dishes like fish with lemon caper sauce or with caramel deserts. Serve garnished with a lemon if you must.

Served in a wheat beer glass, dark brown without being pushed to black with a nice cap of tan foam. Immediate aroma of cloves, banana and wheat malt. The dark color comes from the use of midnight wheat, a great choice for the style. The midnight wheat adds some dark chocolate like flavors that mix with the spicy/banana flavors. Highly carbonated and bubbly, lighter body than expected. Very well made.
