Crowler from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, NY.
This one pours a light amber color, with a small white head and lots of lacing.
This smells like your generic mid 90s DIPA- it smells boozy and astringent, with heavy malt character, and basically hop aroma other than bitterness.
The taste is similar, with way too much malt character, and way too much astringent hop bitterness. It just feels inexpertly brewed.
This is light bodied and slightly hard to drink, as it’s pretty astringent on the finish. This astringency lingers for a while.
I don’t feel like I like this brewery very much. The beers feel a little amateurish.
