I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery.
Appearance: rich dark brown, though not black, with a clear body and a thin finger of tan foam.
Smell: nicely chocolatey with a light sweetness. A little caramel rounds it out; not bad.
Taste: caramelly and a little nutty; not as chocolatey as the aroma. More like a dark brown or porter in my book, but overall tasty enough.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with an OK carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: not especially stouty, but a decent beer on its own merits.
