I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery.
Appearance: rich dark brown with ruby highlights and a thick finger of creamy tan foam. Very nice.
Smell: lightly smoky, roasty and a little astringent. It works pretty well.
Taste: smoky, but also chocolatey, sweetish and smooth. I think it's quite balanced and a nicely drinkable take on a smoked porter.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with moderate carbonation and creaminess. I honestly think the nitro doesn't really help on this front.
Overall: I could drink a lot of this, though - full disclosure - I quite like smokiness in general. But this is well-balanced and tasty.
