I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a tulip. It is a hoppy brown ale, the official beer of PAX West 2017.
Appearance: rich brown hue with a bit of haze and a thin layer of ivory foam.
Smell: roasty maltiness with a good coffee aroma, yet plenty of smoothness. Hops are citrusy and bright - I dig it!
Taste: coffee-tinged malt with bright and citrusy hops; bitterness is balanced and overall it's very smooth. I kind of love it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a damn fine hoppy brown. Balanced, interesting, and highly quaffable.
