Had on tap. Clear bright golden body with a finger of white foam and thick lacing. Smell and taste are the same here as it is not the most complex pilsner but classical. Tons of white bread with hints of popcorn, cracker malt, hints of minerality and grains. Feel is on the thinner side of the medium bodied pilsner, decently crisp but lacks any definition before the finish. Solid

a basic but pretty well done glass of pilsener here, simple but pretty clean, drinkable, and much more refined than the jesus ipa i had in here, which seemed almost amateur, especially next to this one. rather nice clarity here, a short lived white head, and enough carbonation as i drink it, just short of what i would call lively, but its pleasant and adequate. the flavor is nice, some light noble hops on the back end with decent bitterness to keep it crisp, a little flavor from the lager yeast that i like in the style, not too sterile there, and just a very minimal crackery european pils malt profile that is right for the beer, light in texture without a lot of lag to it. there are some obvious minerals, like the water profile can be tasted here, and its not quite right for the classic german crispness i want in a beer like this, but it also seems to be a sort of terroir element and a point of differentiation in this beer, like it or not, which is neat. light in body, some light peppery finish from the hops, and just a bit less clean at the end than it should be. good not great, but nice on a busy afternoon in their bustling taproom!
