I had this beer on-tap in a tulip at the brewery in the Market Front.

Appearance: rich orange hue with a finger of creamy ivory foam that leaves a good lace. The body is actually pretty clear, rather than hazy, so I'm guessing this one has started to settle out. Still, not a bad looking beer at all - just not "hazy".

Smell: aroma is mildly hoppy and mildly malty - definitely subdued for a DIPA. It's not, like, bad or anything though.

Taste: malt is on the sweet side and there is some citrusy hop bite. Bitterness is moderately high. This beer isn't bad, but it doesn't quite work for me.

Mouthfeel: medium rich body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess. Very smooth indeed.

Overall: this beer's hop mix just seems kind of muddled, and can't quite stand up to the malt. Not terrible, but not the best DIPA out there.
