I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery in the Market Front. They call this a hazy pale, but it's brewed with lactose and could easily be called a milkshake IPA too.
Appearance: medium orange hue with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy white foam, which leaves a good lace on the glass. I like it.
Smell: melony, citrusy, fruity, perhaps a little lemongrass - it's really wonderful and complex. Great for the style.
Taste: the more I drink, the tastier and more complex this becomes. They say this is brewed with experimental hop variety HBC692, and I sure hope farmers plant more of it. Melon, pear, citrus, coconut, lemongrass; even a little grapefruit works its way in there. What a delight.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a big carbonation and concomitantly satisfying creaminess.
Overall: I really really like this beer. It ticks a lot of boxes for me. Usually I don't love the milkshake beers, but this one really works.
