Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. I'm not sure if they've made this previous years, but this is the 2020 batch.
Appearance: murky medium-yellow hue with a finger of frothy ivory foam on top. The turbidity is strong with this one; probably a function of the fresh hops.
Smell: smooth, creamy orange up front, followed by something a little bit sharper; grapefruit rind and pineapple, maybe. It's interesting; I like it.
Taste: that sharper element is a bit more prevalent in the flavor than in the aroma. It's orangey, and mildly pineapple-y, but also seems to have a rather dry base that doesn't complement those flavors as well as it might. It's relatively high on the bitter side. Not bad, but I feel like it could be smoother.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a good carbonation and decent creaminess. Like the dryness in the flavor, this does suggest a little overattenuation, but the carbonation does a good job of making up for that.
Overall: a perfectly decent beer, if not an especially memorable one.
